Security Agent Captain Cassandra Quinn is on assignment to the mining outpost Luna Seven amid rumors of pirates near the outpost.
On her approach to the complex, she saw something moving around on the surface of the moon that shouldn’t have been. In attempting to get verification, she’s gotten off on the wrong foot with the facility’s crankily busy administrator, Dabney Flagg, and she’s finding her navigation computer Agnes to be less than helpful. If that’s not an interesting start to her day, a mysterious ship blasted her out of the sky. Her story starts HERE.
Meanwhile, Simon Tripline is waking up and getting ready for his day while the morning news plays. The news mentions Terraluna Universal’s VBL, or Very Big Laser project, in which the megacorporation plans to project their logo onto the moon. The news also mentions that there are those who oppose the logo project, as evidenced by large scale protests at Terraluna headquarters. That story starts HERE.

I love the third panel. Hrm who is this dude anyway?!
Hehe!…I’ve loved teeth brushing scenes ever since I saw the Jack Nicholson one in the incredible Vivian Kubrick Shining documentary. They are very human, and that is always good in story telling. Third panel is great yeah…and love the extra mirror!
Tom – I guess that’s the question I want the audience asking, although it may not be as important as what he’s listening to. Hmm.
hee hee…Thanks, Michael! Any time I can get you referencing movies in talking about Moon Town, that’s a win for me.
I have to agree, there is something real or cinematic about this strip. I can only assume the fact this was suppose to be animated this won’t be the last time MT will have that feel.
I too love the double mirrors, we get to see his face twice in the panels. Somehow it makes the teeth brushing more fun to watch, uhm, look at?
Thanks, guys!
Right guys, this is the most cinematic tooth brushing scene ever !
What makes it work so well IMO is the double layer : guy brushing his teeth, speaker on the radio, us in between going back and forth.
Can’t wait to see how he’ll eat his cornflakes ! :+)
Well, at least I spared you the shot of him going to the bathroom. That happened while we cut away to the TV screen… Hey, you gotta know where to point that camera.
Dangit! I was hoping for a Toilet Paper scene!
No one’s stopping you from performing that one right there in the privacy of your own bathroom…
Well, if he were reading a paper, the toilet paper would be justified… since it’s the radio: I see the sense in brushing the ol’ ivories. What brand of toothpaste does M… oops – this guy use?
