Security Agent Captain Cassandra Quinn is on assignment to the mining outpost Luna Seven amid rumors of pirates near the outpost.
On her approach to the complex, she saw something moving around on the surface of the moon that shouldn’t have been. During her attempts to verify her visual sighting, a mysterious ship blasted her out of the sky. Her story starts HERE.
Meanwhile, Simon Tripline is waking up and getting ready for his day while the morning news plays. The news mentions Terraluna Universal’s Very Big Laser project, in which the megacorporation plans to project their logo onto the moon, which has drawn protests at Terraluna headquarters. And finally, the news mentions the rumors of piracy surrounding the disappearance of a shipment of ore from Luna Seven, rumors which facility administrator Dabney Flagg calls “laughable”. Uh-oh. Did part of my cargo escape? Must have been BiRD. That very good-looking, but VERY annoying, wearer of pirate’s spacing leathers was spotted prowling through the isolation holds in The White Owl … again.
Normally, I can’t fault your art, Steve, but here… something just bugs me about having him in exactly the same part of a walk cycle in the second picture. I would have drawn a second pose myself. Still, it’s a minor criticism of an otherwise awesome panel.
Meh. Everybody’s a critic.
