055 – For One Another

The hardest part of my job writing Moon Town is trimming down these exchanges between Vin and Simon. Nothing I like better than these two tossing insults at each other. Honestly, I have pages of this stuff, but a responsible editor knows when to cut, no matter how much I’d let them bicker on. Sooner or later, it devolves into good old fashioned name calling… “Cyinic.” “Git.” heh heh. OK, I’m laughing even now. But enough is enough.

Oh, and for those of you who briefly saw a different strip here yesterday, you’d better go back and check. Refresh your browser. I changed things a little.

Security Agent Captain Cassandra Quinn is on assignment to the mining outpost Luna Seven amid rumors of pirates near the outpost. On her approach to the complex, she saw something moving around on the surface of the moon that shouldn’t have been. During her attempts to verify her visual sighting, a mysterious ship blasted her out of the sky. Her story starts HERE.

Meanwhile, miner Simon Tripline is waking up and getting ready for his day while the morning news mentions rumors of piracy surrounding the disappearance of a shipment of ore from Luna Seven. As Simon walks to work, he sees something strange through a porthole. Meanwhile, Simon’s suspicions are aroused concerning Vin Sinclair, one of Luna Seven’s top drillers. Is there a dark secret to his success? The mechanic seems to suggest so, offering a little evidence to go with it, just in time for Simon’s eyes to play tricks on him again. Simon’s story starts HERE.

For a run-down on all the characters, see the NEW READERS page.

Yeah two days in a row baby. I think I’d trust Vin about as far as I can throw the Moon. S’okay though, our man Simon is on to him.

  2. Hai

Hahaha That Simon. I love how he says what’s on his mind. I wonder what Vin is up to though. He’s already way ahead of the rankings. But it’s just possible that he might do something just to put poor Simon in his right place.

You know what I think? I think that Vin has some secret tunnel that he goes to to get the best resources and he’s pushing Simon ahead so that he won’t see him. It’s not working though. That’s my guess. Anyone agree? Eh? Eh? Anybody?

    P.S. Dust Bunnies rule!

hee hee! Dust bunnies are invading!

Ugh… only thing worse than regular dust bunnies are MOON DUST bunnies! AUGHH!

Au contraire, I think that Vin is “recycling” ore that was already dug up, and sent out on the missing freighter! Getting paid multiple times for the same work is a time-honored method of scamming “the Man”.
