Picture this digger as a fine steed galloping across the plains…

Security Agent Captain Cassandra Quinn is on assignment to the mining outpost Luna Seven amid rumors of pirates near the outpost. On her approach to the complex, she saw something moving around on the surface of the moon that shouldn’t have been. During her attempts to verify her visual sighting, a mysterious ship blasted her out of the sky. Her story starts HERE.
Meanwhile, miner Simon Tripline is waking up and getting ready for his day while the morning news mentions rumors of piracy surrounding the disappearance of a shipment of ore from Luna Seven. As Simon walks to work, he sees something strange through a porthole. Meanwhile, Simon’s suspicions are aroused concerning Vin Sinclair, one of Luna Seven’s top drillers. Is there a dark secret to his success? The mechanic seems to suggest so, offering a little evidence to go with it, just in time for Simon’s eyes to play tricks on him again. Simon’s story starts HERE.

Whatever happened to Cassandra Quinn?
She got blown out of the sky.
Wow. You are on a roll, Steve. I can barely keep up with the updates here. I am closely studying your canyon panels, as they are of particular interest to me. I really dig how you draw these canyons and craters. And of course, the story is getting a really nice pace to it. I can’t wait to see if the “pages” you end up printing correspond to the ones I am imagining in my head (made up of the combination of releases – it’s often hard to tell).
Yeah, she blow’d up REAL good. This boy Vin, he’s just up to no good!
Nice… I like how you portray the moondust being thrown up by the wheels into the path of the light. Very effective. Hey, I can both read your comic and learn art tricks!
speearr – if that’s the case, then I’m doing something RIGHT! Honestly, my fondest wish for the strip is that people enjoy it and if you can learn something from it, too, that’s a bonus. Thanks for the note!
great story, great artwork! my favorite is the depth of field you achieved on ‘thinking’ – yer the man!
Hee hee! I’m glad you’re liking it, Jan. Hope you can stick with it through the end of book one, which is just over the next hill.
And, oh, Paul… if you want to see how the book’s pages are shaping up, loogit this:

Another great one for sure. Is he “riding off into the earthset?”
Nice one dad! I really like how the story is shaping up!
Matt – you will crack up when you see Thursday’s strip.
Thomas – Thanks!
Nice webcomic here- great colors. Will be watching!
Thanks, Peckinpaw!
Ice Cubes looks cool, too…
I like how it really looks like he is “galloping” at high speed,
and that you can see that he’s driven there before.
A bit strange that no one has noticed the tracks going out of the mining areas before perhaps.
It is odd, but I don’t think anyone’s been paying attention. You know how people are… they only notice when something becomes an issue.
Hey Steve, fantastic work my friend!! Really great stuff!
Thank you, Darren!
@ Sardtok: I wondered about that too. The implications are that ol’ Vin has done this kind of thing before. I can understand not paying attention to a particular set of tracks, but how does he intend to fool whoever lost sight of him and is (presumably) in a position to set loose the hounds?
Still, as Captain Quinn found out, the traffic controllers and such in these parts have a pretty… relaxed attitude towards the unexpected. Complacency, stupidity, bribery or some combination thereof? We’ll just have to see…
@ Thomas – please tell me you compliment your dad in person too? lol! I did know a couple who sat in bed together of an evening, each with their own laptops, and PM’d each other on facebook.
HAHA!
Don’t worry flawedprefect. I let him now about the comic…..now……
That’s it…I quit.
