065 – Breaking Up

Can you hear me now? Seems like some problems never go away, even in the future.

Security Agent Captain Cassandra Quinn is on assignment to the mining outpost Luna Seven amid rumors of pirates near the outpost. On her approach to the complex, she saw something moving around on the surface of the moon that shouldn’t have been. During her attempts to verify her visual sighting, a mysterious ship blasted her out of the sky. Her story starts HERE.

Meanwhile, miner Simon Tripline is waking up and getting ready for his day while the morning news mentions rumors of piracy surrounding the disappearance of a shipment of ore from Luna Seven. As Simon walks to work, he sees something strange through a porthole. Meanwhile, Simon’s suspicions are aroused concerning Vin Sinclair, one of Luna Seven’s top drillers. Is there a dark secret to his success? The mechanic seems to suggest so, offering a little evidence to go with it, just in time for Simon’s eyes to play tricks on him again. Simon’s story starts HERE.

Oooh we’re racing downhill towards the finish now. I like the parallel of the two main characters “breaking lane”. I sense colliding destinies.

  2. Ed

Selective deafness – just like a kid has

  3. Og

Very perceptive, Mark. :) Watch out for those braincasts, man… they’ll rot your brain.

Ed – a friend of mine used to call a similar situation “marital deafness”…

    Weeeeeeeeh!
Will this be a ride in the future Moon Town theme park?

And only two more strips before the end of the chapter!?
I see the last strip is going to be one of those that fills the whole page; I really like those.

Heheh, awesome. What indeed is going down in that crater? Yes, the parallel of Cassie and Simon both breaking lanes… very cool.

  6. Nixon

i bet theres something strange in that crater…maybe its the aliens again wich shifted shapes from earlier in the strip, or some terralunian secret project or weapon…or indeed a crash…
    cool strip…

Sardtok – I don’t see any reason why the Digger Drop shouldn’t be the first ride in the fabulous Moon Town amusement park. :)

Yes, that full-pager will be the last strip of the book. I like ending on big pictures. Hmm. I wonder what it will be? :)

Tom – I’m glad that parallel has finally come across. It was the theme I wanted to weave through this first book, and that nothing interesting would have happened if each character – Cassie and Simon (and even Vin) had just stuck to the expected path. Innnnn-teresting.

Nixon – one does have to wonder what’s ahead, eh?

Except that everyone is forgetting that Cassie is dead! Come on! You crash a big hunk of metal and electronics into the moon, all your going to get is DEAD! (and also couple of gallons of water kicked up.)

Seriously though, the craters… they still rock! I love all the line work that makes up the moons surface. And the Color is beautiful as always.

  9. Thomas

I allways love the little blue beeping things.
