These two have been talking past each other. Things are about to change.

Great buildup – I’m dying to see what he’s seeing here
Amazing crater with all those stalagmite-like things. It’s a nice shot of the driller too.
You are doing an excellent job of keeping us all in suspense.
Keep ‘em coming.
Ooh! What could it be? What could it be?
One of the things web comics do really well is lighting. Because, well, it’s really light instead of white paper. Moon Town’s setting is perfect for this, with all the dark backgrounds, and cool things like the digger to light them up. I love how the white, and a little color spills over the black lines to make really convincing headlights. It’s a cool effect that sets a great mood, it’ll be interesting to see how panels like this one translate when printed in the book.
Og, your sci-fi environments ar ejust fantastic. Lovin the story. I want Moon Town every day!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, David! Oy, I want Moon Town every day, too! Some time you’ll have to show me that Time Factory you seem to have gotten yourself.
Mark – thank you. Lighting is something I work on like a demon because it’s very important to me that Moon Town feel more like a movie than a comic. I believe it will translate to the printed page very well. Tom D tells me that the Payload story I did for his Marooned: Out of Orbit collection came out great, and I used the same sort of lighting approach in that. So I’m hoping it will be good for Moon Town, too, anyway.
