I'm thinking Captain Cassandra Quinn is a bit like Captain Kirk, returns from a set back on full throttle 100% afterburners. Low to High with no middle ground.

Heh, Flagg is showing fairly typical middle-management behavior, in my experience. And yeah, Simon's day continues to unfold in its slow-motion-trainwreck fashion....

Yeah, Flagg is an interesting character. He didn't want Simon to go after Vin, but once Simon threw his hat over the fence and went Out There, Flagg feels like Simon better find Vin and that digger, or the risk wasn't worth it. He's an odd sort of manager, always changing his mind in light of his own priorities. That's what makes him so fun to write for, but so hard to work for.

I am becoming a little suspicious of Mr Flagg. First he didn't want Simon to go in search of Sinclair, supposedly for fear of loss of the digger, and now that Simon has found Cassie (is there just something about a woman with a gun, or what?), now Mr Flagg doesn't seem to want Simon to come back without finding out where Sinclair is. Hmmm. Bells are ringing, flags are waving, and Cassie has drawn her weapon! Or perhaps there is nothing more there then what appears on the surface of all that lunar regolith. I am waiting with bated breath, yet salivating like a beast for meat, for each new update. Wonderful!
