Those are my two proofs. Note that the white borders will be cut off in the final book, so the full page colors and black gutters will go all the way to the edge of the page. You may notice that the one on the left is brighter than the one on the right. Read on, dear curious reader…
They say the third time is the charm, and I hope that They are correct. I submitted files to my printer right before the Snowpocalypse in late January and got proofs back. They were gorgeously printed, but too, too dark. Some panels, you couldn’t see what was going on.
So I brightened my files and resubmitted them. But that’s when Snowpocalypse II: The Dumpening occurred. We had 65 inches of snow in 5 days, and unfortunately here at the Mason-Dixon line, we are not equipped to handle that. So it was a while before the major roads, let alone the roads in my neighborhood, were passable.
Eventually, the proofs got to me. They were bright enough this time, but unfortunately now I noticed how purple they were. So I de-purpled the files and will be resubmitting them. The book was on target for a FEB 25 delivery. With the snow delays and my file resubmissions, there may be a slight delay, but I don’t expect it to be too much.
