The original street date for Moon Town book #1 was JAN 15, 2010. However, I took a small detour into tweaking several of the drawings, just little things I wanted to fix (mainly the eyes) so assembling the book has taken a little longer. You can follow my progress in the little widget at the upper left (just under the WishTales logo). Not much left to go, then I’ll submit the print files and a week or two after that I can begin taking orders and sending out the books.
But you guys have been patient, so here’s the rest of the news: even though the book will take a week or two longer than I thought, the new Moon Town strips will nevertheless resume this Friday, JAN 15, 2010.
Also, to reward your patience, a peek at the cover (see above). I’ll be putting up a page in a few days that will spell out the details on the book, but meanwhile here’s a bullet point list:
Episode One: Breaking Lane, chronicling the first three chapters in the Moon Town saga:
- New Sherrif in Town (Cassandra Quinn arrives at Luna Seven)
- Moon Men (Introducing Simon Tripline and the spaders)
- Digging in the Dark (Simon begins trying to solve the mystery of Vin Sinclair)
Letters page
Sci-fi short story
Total length: 40 pages
Price: $4.75 USD (plus shipping)
Speaking of the letters page, don’t forget to submit your comments and/or questions for inclusion! I’ll print what I got room for – don’t delay, write today! (Right here in the comments section).
As my buddy Calvin was fond of saying, more bulletins as events warrant.

BRILLIANT! I shall be yelling this from the virtual rooftops for folks to line up and order. When will details for how to purchase come online? (I know, I know – impatient! But it’s BRIL!)
Glad you like it, Paul. Tom and my wife Barbara really pushed me to get the cover JUST right. I think it’s about there.
Gimme a week or two to get the book done and off to the printers and then I’ll put up some better ordering info. The short answer is, I’ll be taking orders right here on the Moon Town site, and shipping the books out… direct from my brain to yours.
I will also have Special Artist Editions available, wherein I will draw a little sketch and sign the book, for those who want to pay a little extra for something a little more collectible.
Sounds great!
Will shipping be similar to the Marooned book?
Similar, but less, as the Moon Town book should weigh less than half what Out of Orbit weighed. One reason I’m waiting til I have the book in my hand to give you details is that I want to be sure I’m weighing the *exact* book, *exact* envelopes, etc., so you get an accurate number that works for both of us.
I won’t lie to you, Og. I did my budget for 2010, and it appears I’m broke…
BUT (because there is a “but”) I shall break my piggy bank (*wink*) and order one of those! I’ve seen way too many overpriced stuff that wasn’t worth it, but this is the contrary: low price for uber value.
Thanks for you work, truly!
It’s like it’s Christmas all over again! Yeehaa!
