There’s a new sheriff coming to town, but what kind of town will she find? A pirate haven? A law-abiding enclave living out on the raggedy edge of Society’s frontier? A lawless town, a wretched hive of scum and villainy?
Only her hairdresser knows for sure.

Beautiful panel man! Her uniform came out great, the whole thing just looks sweet. And Pirates…yeah man… now we’re getting somewhere
Wow, that’s a lot of detail.
I really like the helmet and the detail in the lighting. The whole thing is great, but I keep getting drawn to the reflective visor and how well-defined it is.
looks great! i’m curious, why the departure from the movie design for cassandra?
Thanks, guys! Sardtok – do you mean the visor on her hat, or the visor on the ship, and do you mean it’s distracting or you just find yourself looking at it a lot?
You’re right, there’s a lot of detail here, but I like to have a lot of stuff for the eye to chew on. That’s what prevented me from making Moon Town in the super-simple, cutesy style I seem to admire in others. Psshh. Oh well. I’ve settled on the style, and this is it.
Angry – I had a bazillion designs for Cassie, and was all over the map with her, even built a couple. This was the one I liked best, and as I’m settled on this slightly-more-detailed-look with the comic, this design seems to fit better than the slightly little-girlish version I had for a bit there.
I am really getting into this format! Question: will each panel be on-going, or will there be “episodes”? Will – after each mini-story, there be like, a compiled layout of that particular chapter?
Either or… each panel is a hero-panel this way! I look forward to future releases.
Glad you joined the party, Paul!
Well, as you’ve asked, there is a method to my madness, leading up to a nicely compiled bunch-o-storytelling goodness. And not all strips will be one-offs like the first two. There is a nice mix, which will probably look all manner of odd online, different sizes, strips ending in the middle of a verbal exchange, etc.
Of course when you see them all compiled in a year or so, it will all make perfect sense. But that’s to worry about a year from now.
I’m just going to enjoy telling the story for a while, and I’m glad a few of you are hanging out while I do. Seeya Friday!
The visor on the helmet, and it’s not distracting, I just find the light and reflections nice to look at.
I cannot believe that I am the first to catch the quotation from Star Wars: Episode # 4 A New Hope.
Gotta love a guy that pays attention. There’s also a reference to Firefly there, too…
ah, the geeky ways I amuse myself.
