Friend-of-the-blog COS sent me in this great link to a video showing NASA’s battery-powered moon bus. You know, just when you think you’ve designed the strangest stuff, real science comes along and gives you just a little more to think about. Thanks, COS!

So, from 2020 we’ll all be having our vacations on the moon taking the world’s most expensive bus (automobile was what he said, but) to get around?
Hahahaha! Y’know when I see stuff like this come out of NASA, I envisage the meeting of designers sitting around with their sketchpads, and one might have a laptop open, checking out the latest “Moon Town”. As they deliberate on the best design, someone notices the laptop guy chuckling away, takes a squiz and smiles broadly, crying “THAT’S IT! That’s the design for the moon bus! Oh! GENIUS!”
And thus spake Ogden, and NASA made it so.
Damn, if only I could sketch out an idea as quickly as I think one, I’d be sending you this is comic form…
A moon bus, that’s awesome. I guess this is for when we finally have a moon base.
