I found a super-sweet treat in my inbox this morning… Fantastically awesome awesomeness by Jim Anderson, he of Ellie on Planet X. He said it was something he just had in his sketchbook, you know, nothing special, just a sketch. SHEESH! I honestly don’t know how he does what he does, but I’m honored to see his take on the Udite Shaman from Moon Town.

Normally I would wait and post this for Fan Art Friday, but I can’t make you wait for this one. Thanks, Jim!

Friday Fan Art – Mike Martin

It’s Friday, and you know what that means… FAN ART! OK, it’s been a mess of Fridays since one of our wonderful Moon Town fans did us up a bit of art, but I’m always ecstatic to get it.

Today’s entry comes from Mike Martin, of Mighty Martian Studios. Mike writes and draws a really neat weekly webcomic called Far From Home. If you like Moon Town, you should really check out Far From Home. I think you’ll like it.

This is actually Mike’s second round of fan art here at Moon Town. (Click here if you missed it). I love Mike’s take on Vin’s physiology, above. (Click the image for a closer view). Everyone wants to know how Vin is breathing in a vacuum… Mike has gone to the trouble to come up with his own explanation. HA – Thanks, Mike – I love it!

It’s Fan Art time again! This week’s entry comes from Mike Martin of Mighty Martian Studios, the artist/creator of Far From Home. Mike is obviously a big fan of science fiction (I’m always proud to find these folks among the ranks of Moon Towners) and a heck of a nice guy. Check out his take on Cassandra Quinn, inspired, as he says, by the storyline I had where Cassie is blown out the digger’s airlock. This reminded him of a certain movie… the intersection makes for the funny. Enjoy! (Most impressive – he drew the other character FROM MEMORY!)

Fan Art – Mark Gibson

It’s Fan Art Friday again, ladies and gentlemen. Next on the Parade of Stars is Mark Gibson, an art director from right up the street from where I work. Honestly I have jogged past his place of business on lunch. That close.

Turns out Mark can draw, and he’s turned his considerable talents toward Vin Sinclair. Mark pointed out to me that Vin was the one character I’d neglected in my NEW READERS section, a situation I have now corrected. But I think that’s why he drew the guy. Let’s hear it for Mark!

Fan Art – Paul Caggegi

Yes, it’s Fan Art Friday once again. This time at the pen and drawing board it’s non other than the Process Diary’s Paul Caggegi. You may remember in my interview on his program last month, I mentioned the origin of Simon’s name, evoking a very old Saturday Night Live sketch involving Mike Meyers, a bubble bath, and a certain silly boy named Simon with a south London accent. Poor Simon was always under the impression that the audience was very interested in spying his backside, to which he could only say- well, you can see in the graphic above…
